Championing walking with our people to carve pathways allowing them to reconnect and stand together. Reigniting strong cultural connections across the generations and extending the bridge to all cultures.

About Ashmic Indigenous
Managing Director
Barry McGuire, Managing Director of Ashmic Indigenous, began his business journey in the oil and gas industry. Barry McGuire is a Balladong, Whadjuk, Noongar man who is a highly acclaimed artist, cultural ambassador, educator and advisor.
Barry has worked as a consultant for Local, State, and Federal Governments. In addition to his role as Chair of Spear Group Holdings, he is also a Cultural Director of Indigenous Emerging Business Forum Aboriginal Corporation ICN 9523 (IEBF) which is a not for profit organisation supporting and promoting Aboriginal businesses.
Barry’s focus is on creating employment for Aboriginal people and also his charity work supporting Aboriginal children and elders. Initially, Ashmic Indigenous focused on supplying and installing steel products for the domestic market. After some research, a further international partnership was established to deliver a vast range of products into both the domestic and worldwide markets.
Ashmic Indigenous has the ability to send its products anywhere in the world whilst still maintaining the company as majority Indigenous-owned. With a skilled team and extensive connections, Ashmic Indigenous is proud to be a prominent player in the steel industry and Australia’s largest Aboriginal-owned steel manufacturer and supplier.
